COPE - Committee on Political Education

E-mail Print PDF

CWA-COPE is the political action committee for CWA members, their families and retirees. The COPE program educates, trains and mobilizes union families to encourage participation in the political process. Through COPE, CWA members express their voice in politics and on policy issues that affect their lives.

COPE is funded through voluntary payroll deductions from union members. CWA can only use voluntary dollars to contribute to worker-friendly candidates. COPE funds also support worker education about candidates and their positions on issues that affect working families like healthcare, pensions, union organizing, and working conditions.

For as little as a few dollars per week or per payperiod, CWA members can help shape the political landscape that governs our contracts, the safety of our worksites, and the security of our retirement and healthcare.

CWA COPE makes politics work for working families.

CWA members, retirees, and their families are eligible to participate in COPE. Where possible, payroll deduction is the easiest, most convenient way to enroll in COPE. You can download the COPE Payroll Deduction card and give it to your steward or return it to the Local 1034 office at 1 Lower Ferry Road, West Trenton NJ to process.

If you want to contribute to COPE without payroll deduction, you can download the CWA-COPE Personal Check Form. Please mail the completed form with your check to CWA Local 1034, 1 Lower Ferry Road, West Trenton NJ 08628.
