As our State Executive Branch membership was being scheduled to return to offices, CWA negotiated with the State for several weeks over COVID testing and leave procedures.

Negotiated Benefit through our CWA-State of NJ Contract

Having strong Union representatives on our PERS Board of Trustees is critical to protecting the full funding we recently won and make sure membership has direct representation in decision-making.

CWA 1036 has endorsed TOM BRUNO for re-nomination to the PERS Board - State Rep.

State Workers can nominate Tom Bruno here:

Many union families include veterans, so Union Plus Mortgage Company is here to help by offering VA as well as conventional and FHA loan types with competitive interest rates.

Shout out to all our members of working in County Superintendent of Elections, County Clerks' Offices, and supporting the work at polling places. Sometimes we can take for granted how easy it is to vote by mail, by drop box, or in person on Election Day but it's the tireless work and endless hours of many in our CWA 1036 family that make that happen. They make sure the election is safe and secure.

Thanks to all!

Applications are now available for the CWA Joe Beirne Foundation’s scholarship for the 2022-2023 school year. The final deadline to apply is April 30, 2022.

CWA members join together to harness the power of the Union, reaching out to fellow members in our communities to engage, educate and move them to action. We know that union power at the ballot box can help determine elections in favor of candidates that support our priorities.

Hunterdon County members in both the Rank and File and Supervisory units will have health benefits open enrollment in the month of October. During this open enrollment we have a new plan option with lower employee paycheck contributions. The new plan is called "NJ Direct 2019 PPO" and is modeled off the NJ Direct 15 plan.

NJ Direct 2019 PPO is a voluntary option. Members can choose to switch to this plan or you can keep your current plan. This is just another option in the menu.

On September 22, 2021, CWA 1036 signed on to a nationwide letter with other union, student, consumer, higher education, civil rights, public health, workforce, public interest, professional, military, and faith organizations in calling on Secretary Cardona to take immediate executive action to deliver on the promise of Public Student Loan Forgiveness
